CARD SME Bank Celebrates 15 Years of Commitment and Growth in General Santos City
GENERAL SANTOS CITY, Philippines — CARD SME Bank, a thrift bank under CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions (CARD MRI), celebrated its 15th anniversary on July 25, 2026, carrying the theme “15 Years of Commitment and Growth. Built with Trust.”
The milestone celebration was held through the Tindog KoLaGen: Padayon sa Pagbangon, Padayon sa Pag-Uswag program, which gathered more than 400 clients, partners, and staff to recognize the resilience and determination of earthquake-affected communities in Koronadal City, Lagao, and General Santos City (KoLaGen).
A highlight of the event was the Pagbangon Dance Performance Contest, where client center chiefs and bank staff presented performances that reflected their personal experiences during the earthquake. Through dance and artistic expression, participants portrayed the challenges they faced and the shared trust between the bank and the community that helped them recover and move forward.
In his message, CARD SME Bank President Julius Adrian Alip assured affected communities of the bank’s continued support.
“We saw how tough these past days have been after the earthquake, but we also saw how strong you’ve been. So as you work to rebuild right now, you have our complete support. We will also keep doing everything on our end to help you every step of the way,” Alip said.
Senior Management Adviser Cynthia Baldeo also emphasized the importance of solidarity and trust during difficult times. She said that witnessing staff and clients care for and support one another after the calamity gave her a clearer understanding of what genuine trust truly means.
By bringing its anniversary celebration to Mindanao, CARD SME Bank reinforced its commitment to stand beside its employees and clients in both times of hardship and success, while also contributing to local recovery efforts in communities affected by the earthquake.
The bank continues its mission of uplifting communities and expanding economic opportunities through its microfinance services for socio-economically challenged individuals, business loans for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), and flexible savings products, including regular savings accounts and time deposits.
As of June 2026, CARD SME Bank operates 306 offices nationwide and serves more than 1.4 million clients, a testament to the trust and confidence it has built among the communities it serves over the past 15 years.
The anniversary celebration not only marked a significant milestone in the bank’s history but also underscored its enduring commitment to helping Filipino communities rise, recover, and prosper together.
