CARD MRI Insurance Agency Marks 19 Years of Protecting Filipino Families



 MANILA, Philippines — CARD MRI Insurance Agency (CaMIA), a member institution of CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions (CARD MRI), marked its 19th anniversary on August 4, 2026, celebrating nearly two decades of providing financial protection and security to millions of Filipino families through affordable insurance services.

CaMIA President and General Manager Vener S. Abellera emphasized the institution’s commitment to helping communities become more resilient in the face of life’s uncertainties.

“As CARD MRI’s insurance arm, our goal is to build resilient communities and provide a reliable safety net for all. We ensure that every client and their family understand the value of insurance so that when unforeseen challenges arise, they are better prepared to cope with and recover from them,” Abellera said.

Since its establishment, CaMIA has focused on delivering accessible life and non-life microinsurance products to underserved Filipino communities. As of June 2026, the agency has issued 2,418,051 insurance policies with a total value of PHP 1,708,989,457.

The agency has also paid 135,937 insurance claims amounting to PHP 648,183,503, reflecting its continued support for clients during times of financial difficulty and emergencies.

“As we look back over the years, we are proud to have secured millions of individuals in times of need by offering them affordable life and non-life Microinsurance products,” Abellera said. “We will continue to act swiftly whenever our clients need us,” he added.

CaMIA serves as CARD MRI’s insurance agency for both life and non-life microinsurance as well as traditional insurance products, providing protection tailored to the needs of low-income families and communities.

Together with CARD MRI’s other reinforcing institutions, CaMIA reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening financial resilience and contributing to the vision of building a more secure and resilient nation despite the uncertainties brought by disasters, health emergencies, and other unforeseen events.
