𝗢𝗭𝗔𝗠𝗜𝗭 𝗙𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗢-𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗘 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥 𝗢𝗙 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗘𝗥𝗖𝗘 𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗦 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗨𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗘 𝗧𝗢 𝗟𝗚𝗨 𝗢𝗭𝗔𝗠𝗜𝗭

Ozamiz City, October 5, 2024 – The Ozamiz Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce has officially passed Resolution No. 2024-02, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Ozamiz City, under the leadership of Mayor Atty. Indy Oaminal, for valuing and integrating the suggestions and requests from the Chamber in the formulation and enactment of key city ordinances.

During a Board Meeting held on June 26, 2024, the Board unanimously agreed on the importance of this resolution, recognizing the exemplary responsiveness of the LGU to the ideas and feedback from stakeholders, including the Chamber itself. These collaborative efforts have addressed significant social, business, and development concerns within the city.
The LGU's proactive actions, especially those led by Honorable Councilor Cecile Yu Co, Chairperson of the Committee on Economic Enterprise, have resulted in several important ordinances, including:
1. Ordinance No. 1287-2023 – Amending Section 5D.01 regarding Health Certificate Fees and Requirements.
2. Ordinance No. 1288-2023 – Pertaining to Garbage Collection Charges.
3. Ordinance No. 1292-2024 – Granting exemption to business establishments from Installation and Inspection Fees for CCTVs.
4. Ordinance No. 1293-2024 – An Interim Ordinance outlining conditions and guidelines for the issuance of Special Use Permits in Ozamiz.
5. Ordinance No. 1299-2024 – Establishing the Ozamiz Weekend Market and Night Cafes.
6. Revisiting the parking regulations in Gaisano Ozamiz.
Additionally, the resolution highlights two proposed ordinances subject to public hearing:
• Integration of the Barangay Clearance Fee with other fees during the Business Permit application (for EBOSS).
• Provision for a grace period and extensions for compliance during the business renewal process.
The passing of this resolution was moved, seconded, and unanimously approved by all Trustees. It has been certified correct by Jerome Lim, Secretary, and attested by the Chamber President, Arthur Chan.
