CARD MBA MARKS 27TH ANNIVERSARY WITH NEW INSURANCE OPTION FOR SENIOR MEMBERS
The anniversary celebration was held at Maharlika Square in San Pablo City, Laguna, bringing together CARD MBA officers, staff, coordinators, and representatives of CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions (CARD MRI).
CARD MBA Chief Executive Officer Jocelyn Dequito said the anniversary is a milestone for both the organization and its members who have entrusted CARD MBA with their financial protection.
For 27 years, CARD MBA has provided microinsurance services designed to help Filipino families manage the financial impact of unexpected events. Its services include death and accidental benefits, retirement funds, redemption packages, disaster assistance, and other member programs.
One of the highlights of the celebration was the launch of the Family Security Plan Extension, which allows retired members aged 70 and above to continue their insurance coverage.
The product offers two options. The Individual Plan covers the member, while the Package Plan covers both the member and an eligible partner. For the Package Plan, the partner must be 60 to 75 years old and meet the required health conditions.
Meanwhile, CARD MBA elected new members of its Board of Trustees during its Annual General Membership Meeting. The new trustees represent different areas in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao and will serve two-year terms.
The association also recognized MBA Coordinators for their contributions to member services and microinsurance enrollment.
Emelita R. Araño of Batangas was named the 2026 Natatanging MBA Coordinator National Winner. Jemilyn A. Sales of Camarines Sur placed first, while Marry Rose R. Ballete of Surigao del Sur placed second.
Other coordinators were also recognized through the Ka-Seguro Awards for achieving high microinsurance product enrollments.
As of July 31, 2026, CARD MBA has 95 provincial offices serving more than 8.4 million active members and providing insurance coverage to over 25 million individuals.
The organization has also processed more than 500,000 claims, with total claims paid exceeding ₱2.6 billion.
The 27th anniversary celebration highlighted CARD MBA's continuing efforts to provide financial protection and assistance to Filipino families, particularly during times of unexpected financial challenges.
